Although Paper Bombs is a subtle art peice it conveys a powerful message. From what I grasped from the reading assignment is that most of these Paper Bomb posters are low in propaganda ,but they usually give off a sense of hope for the future possiblities. Like for example lets say I was a war soldier and I saw this poster. It would instantly take me back to my hometown and possibly make me think of family and loved ones I left behind. It would make me want to keep living in order to reach my goals in heading home. In my first picture the Paper Bombs reminded me of a typical Stepford Wife. Her being so beautiful and living the dream lifestyle is what every American wants to recieve out of life. Then I moved towards the Infamous TV show I Love Lucy. Although it does not entirely live up to the Stepford standards Lucy and Ricky still try to maintain that dream of obtaining perfection in their jobs and more importantly their marriage. After looking at that photo my mind was brought to the typical "First Young Teen Love". Its soOo innocent and with a simple message just like the Paper Bombs poster. Now being the girl that I am when I hear the word love I think of Romance novels and my huge collection of Chick Flicks. But in our time right now everyone is following the HUGE hype of Vampire Love. Like in Twilight; Edward Cullen plays the role of such a perfect boyfriend that he seems like God or something unreal towards the women. This is the dream guy everyone wants to be with, the guy who will love you for you, and ontop of that all your flaws. Bella and Edward's relationship is so innocent and pure (other than him being a vamp.) it makes you kinda want to puke. Overall what I am trying to say is that Paper Bombs can keep their simplicity but the message makes you want to head back home.
